There were plenty of options on the menu, and my friends and I enjoyed the food.
Whenever I visit London a trip to Ping Pong for dumplings and cocktails is a must. Despite always being busy the staff are friendly and promptly bring food and drinks. Great for couples and groups alike. Go hungry and order lots of different dishes. Definitely try the dumplings!
It was very busy when we arrived, but the excellent staff found us a table without delay and the service continued to excel throughout our time there. The food order was taken quickly and the dishes arrived without delay - despite how busy the restaurant was. Each dish was well prepared and tasted great - and the alcohol free cocktails were most welcome.
Superb Food & Excellent Service; once we worked out the ordering system/practices with the help of our server, we enjoyed everything that came and wish we could have sampled more!
Four of us visited on Sunday just as they opened at 12pm for the bottomless dim sum. Looking at be the menu it can be pricey if not going for a bottomless. My overall experience was very good. I would recommend the duck rolls and steamed buns. It would be nice if there was another steamed bun and crispy dim sum as majority of the options were steamed. All the staff very attentive and friendly, Service was quick and she would ask if we wanted anymore. The Drinks were well priced and nice (blooming jasmine tea & mocktail). Only thing I would say let it down is that the spicy dish needs to be better labeled as we specify asked the server which it was, and she identified it incorrectly and blew our brains out (luckily it did not ruin the rest of the meal). I do not do any spice but one of the table did, it would be much better if they could clearly highlight this (such as red coloured baskets, or flags?). I would visit again.
I visited Ping Pong Southbank a few years ago and had a very good impression. So this is a revisit and the impression is as excellent. The food is as delicious, the staff as friendly, and the atmosphere as comfy and relaxed. We particularly like the tea and the culturally-infused decorations. Not to mention that the restaurant's location is amazing, with many tourist attractions and landmarks around! I certainly would like to visit again, hope you like Ping Pong as much as I do.
Really good dim sum restaurant, although expensive with lots of options - there is a fixed price option too. The chicken katsu curry was really good as were the kebabs. Atmosphere is really good and well located in Southbank.
5/5 place for me, would totally go again someday. I went with my boyfriend on Saturday after visiting the Royal Festive Hall. The place was in a convenient spot and we got seats even though it was about 30 minutes before closing. Ordering food is comfortable, staff lady was nice, didn't really wait long for my meal & drinks. Not the cheapest place around and definitely a bit loud inside but everything was absolutely delicious (Pictures of Chicken Katsu Curry and a Strawberry & Vanilla Iced Tea)
